Cheddar and basil scones
Ingredients:
- 200g SRF
- 100g butter
- 2 eggs
- Milk to bind
- 100g grated cheddar
- 1 large handful fresh basil
Method:
1. Cream butter.
2. Mix in eggs, then flour.
3. Add milk to bind- until smooth, firm dough is formed.
4. Mix in cheese and basil. Roll out to 2 and 1/2 cm thickness.
5. Cut and place on baking sheet. Brush with milk. Top with cheese.
6. Bake at 200 degrees c for 15 min.
